Custom object

You will create a Generative Designed object. It can be anything, but it must be made with some “realities” in mind. What is the size of the object? What is it made out of? How will it be made? What are the loads and forces on the object?

I decided to make a phone stand. This would consist of a circular base, with a plane sticking out at an angle.

I added 1lb of structural load onto the part where the phone rests. I want to 3D print this, I set the manufacturing process to be additive and set the material to be PET plastic.

Running the preview:

This design seemed to be using too much material. Let's make the preserved geometry smaller.

Then I tried to run the preview again:

This was promising! So I clicked on the full generation and left it running for an hour.
